His name comes from the very strong liqueur "Absinthe" and the on-yomi reading of his name (Yasutake → Abu). He is friends with Mitsuru Fujiwara of the Nankai, Michiyo Arito of Lotte, Koichi Tabuchi of the Hanshin Tigers, and Koji Yamamoto of Hiroshima .
