Kousaka-sensei is a strict piano teacher who instructs his charges using the Hanon method. Tsukishima Shou is one of his students who does not want to be his student anymore. His older brother, Ryou, is dropping him off and also wants to see if the teacher might consider not being so strict with his brother.
In the heat of an argument between Ryou and Kousaka, Shou taunts Kousaka by claiming that Ryou is much better than he is. Shocking Kousaka to the core, he has finally met the person he thought he would never see again.
