  Cobra is a notorious Space Pirate with a laser gun as his left arm. But, he was tired of being chased by the agency in space and decided to lead a regular life by changing his face & being wiped of his memory.

  3 years later, he is a regular person leading a regular life, until an incident recovers his past memories and he's set on the run again into a world of danger and futuristic delights.

  In the United States, portions of the manga were published by Viz Media in 1990.The anime film adaptation was licensed by Tara for its release in US theaters and by Manga Entertainment in British theaters in 1995. Urban Vision and Discotek Media released it for home video market, while Madman Entertainment acquired it for the Australasia region's release. Discotek also released a 4K version of the film.The anime adaptation was licensed in the Northern American region by Discotek.A 2nd anime adaptation was done in the late 2000s and early 2010s by the studio Magic Bus. Consisting of OVAs and a short, one cour TV series. It is currently licensed by Sentai for the US market.
